Looks beautiful but ring opening mechanism is delicate

I love this organiser - it really is beautiful and very well finished, except for the ring opening mechanism, which is not as easy to open as my older one and I am worried it could break. I am also a little disappointed that it cost full price for a 2024 diary when we are already in June, despite me contacting Filofax.
Delivery courier extremely bad and I have already reported this to Filofax so I hope this improves for future customers.
I have given this purchase four stars as the organiser itself looks beautiful and the only issue with it is the delicate ring mechanism. I have not taken into consideration the 2024 diary included for full price or poor delivery for star allocation.
