I love recycled materials and want to make green choices. This was a mistake for sure- I've returned it now. Horrible feeling material on the cover. So stiff and as if it would crack it bent even slightly. I wanted something to last years (like filofaxes are designed for) and this didn't feel like it would even last one.

Rings far too difficult to open. Only half of them open initially, then the other half might open depending on how much you can persevere. Ordered this at the same time as the Golden Oak A5 Eco filoFax which also had bad rings. Not difficult to return them.
I do have other filoFaxes vintage and modern where the rings are either great, ok or doable. Shame about my experience with the 2 from the Eco range

I wanted to use this as a folder to store memorabilia but only half the rings open. The filoFax came in a damaged cardboard box, inside a Fedex bag, containing NO protective layers. I had ordered 2 of these, one in Walnut as well as this one in Golden Oak, in case 1 should be faulty. At least 1 out of the 2 should be ok right? Nope. Had to send them both back for the same reasons. No point in contacting customer services because I don't see the need in trying a 3rd one of its kind. I have previously complained to filoFax about a different order in that the rings were damaged on a Clipbook because of insufficient packaging. This sadly has not been addressed. For an ECO product, its not economical at all having to send this back and forth. Evidently another customer had this item before me because the seals were broken on the inside paper covering. Why do they insist on sending out duff models repeatedly? Its rather a waste of everyone's time, money and energy. This website couldn't receive a short video I tried to upload.

Everything Filofax I have I'm very pleased with. However buying the items online is made very difficult by their dreadful website. The website will tell you something doesn't exist, then you Google the same items and it takes you to the Filofax website! I had to do that for every item I bought in my last order and it's a real pain.

If you are looking for refills, all our organiser refills have the code printed on the pages by the middle rings, if you seach the code on our website it should take you directly to the correct item. Alternatively, please email out Customer service team, and they would be happy to assist and send you links for items.

I used to use a leather A5 organiser but ended up carrying a notebook around with me because the organiser was so heavy. And then I spotted this one with its green credentials and thought that it must be lighter than leather! (Every now and then I suggest that the weight of different organisers be put on the website, it would help us to choose.) And now I'm happy - the eco one travels with me, the A5 leather one has become a mini-encyclopaedia - and the personal sized one which I've had since 1985 is my address book.
